Prenatal Yoga

Balance your body and mind during the incredible transition of pregnancy with yoga postures and breathing practices to relax, open and ground your body and mind.  Experience the support of a group of other mothers-to-be as you learn gentle ways to strengthen your body for birth.  Prenatal yoga can reduce nausea, low back pain and swelling in the joints.  The practice of yoga also tunes you in to your growing baby and the changes happening within. This nurturing class is open to all stages of pregnancy.  No prior yoga experience necessary.

 

Level: Open to all pregnant women. No prior yoga experience necessary.

Cost: $65 for the 6-week session if pre-registered.  $14/drop-in.

Spring Yoga & Ayurveda Camp

Join us for a 5-day yoga camp inspired by the sublime healing system of Ayurveda. Ayurveda, the natural healing system of India, looks to the five elements (ether, air, fire, water and space) as a foundation for experiencing balance both in the natural world and within our beings. The doshas (vata, pitta and kapha) are the 3 bodily humors that make up one's mind/body constitution. This camp includes traditional Hatha Vinyasa (flow) classes and will vary from gentle to moderate intensity depending on the elements being explored in each specific class. Additional practices such as pranayama (breathing exercises,) mantra/kirtan (chanting,) and meditation will be included on certain days. Learn how to choose a yoga practice that fits your individual body's needs, as well as the time of year. For example, some days certain body types need grounding, warming, relaxing flows, while others benefit more from precision, mental focus and cooling routines and still others are best served by invigorating, uplifting, dynamic sequences. Come and explore them all and see what you resonate with on different days while learning more about making your yoga practice truly therapeutic for your body, mind and spirit!

 

Level: Some previous yoga experience recommended but not required.
Suggested Donation: $55-75. $25 deposit due with registration.
Registration: Please register by May 17. Attendance for the entire camp is strongly encouraged, but contact me for options if you cannot make all the days.

Flow into Bliss: Yoga & Meditation

Join Aiyana for a flow class to greet the day day and balance your body and mind.  We will explore creative flows that open your body, free your mind, and ground you in your center.  This class includes Ayurvedic-inspired yoga teachings, which focus upon the elements within and around us to foster deeper harmony with the natural rhythms of the earth.  Each class will end with 10-15 minutes of meditation or yoga nidra (guided relaxtion) to set a peaceful tone for your day.  Guidance into meditation will be given.

 

Level: No prior yoga or meditation experience necessary. 
Cost: $45 for the 4-week session.  $13/drop-in.

Private Yoga

An ideal way to delve deeper into your yoga practice through one-on-one instruction.  Perfect for beginners looking to cultivate a more thorough understanding of alignment and the technical aspects of poses and breathing and a wonderful opportunity for intermediate practitioners to fine-tune a practice and discover how to personalize one's approach to yoga.  Meet with one of our experienced teachers to work on specific poses, work with physical issues through yoga, or to develop a personalized home practice routine.  Yoga teachers are also welcome to schedule privates with our teacher training staff to work on specific aspects of teaching including meditation, pranayama, corrections and assists, contraindications, etc., but not limited to these.  Also a great opportunity for pregnant women to develop a personalized practice to suit the body's changing needs. Out-calls available if you just want to practice in the peace of your own home!
