Join ShivaShakti School of Yoga for a weekend format Yoga Teacher Training in Vermont. Connect with other yoga practitioners in a nurturing, holistic environment while delving deep into yoga practice. Explore the teacher within, find your voice, and become certified as a yoga instructor.
The ShivaShakti Yoga Teacher Training Course is a comprehensive Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour level program. The course is designed to initiate students onto the path of yoga and prepare one to teach others. The program offers a strong foundation in asana, concentrating on alignment, vinyasa (flow,) strength, and breath. Emphasis is placed on the development of one’s personal practice, as well as, teaching methodology and its practical application. Classical yogic philosophy is interwoven throughout the program, drawing on Vedantic and Tantric beliefs. Students receive a thorough education in Anatomy and Physiology as it pertains to a yoga practice.The program also includes daily yogic chanting and meditation. Upon completion of the course, students receive their ShivaShakti Yoga Teacher Certification and are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT. ShivaShakti School of Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance.
ShivaShakti Yoga is a yoga of hard and soft. Students should be prepared to be mentally and physically challenged. Classes vary from physically vigorous Vinyasa flow classes to softer and more restorative classes.
ShivaShakti School of Yoga is pleased to be offering the Weekend- Format Course at the beautiful Dharma Door Retreat in the mountains of Underhill, Vermont. This schedule is beneficial to those students who want to continue working and living at home while participating in the program. The month interval between trainings provides ample time for assimilation of the depth of knowledge being covered. Students meet for seven 3-day weekends spanning approximately six months. In between the weekend trainings, students are expected to practice regularly, honing the skills and embodying the information covered in the training.
